Hometown Teams Battle for Supremacy!

The sweat on the track has barely dried and the Santa Cruz Derby Girls are raring and ready to go for their second bout of season two! After an electrifying win over the L.A. Derby Doll team the Sirens, SCDG's inner league teams the Beach Flat Betties and the Lost Girls prepare for an epic meeting of body and soul. These two teams practice tirelessly together and their knowledge of the other's ability and strategy should make for the most contentious battle to date! Who will gain bragging rights over Santa Cruz's turf? We'll just have to wait and see...
The GAINS program in Santa Clara Unified School District is our featured non-profit for the April 4th bout. GAINS is a program where middle and high school girls from all ethnic, socio-economic, and academic backgrounds come together to focus and receive support for their future plans. The aim of the GAINS program is to help these students fulfill their goals of graduating from high school and college and going on to a career in a math or science-related field. The Santa Cruz Rollergirls are will donate a portion of their proceeds to this long standing community organization.
SCDG is pleased to welcome Kinetic Art Santa Cruz as it's half time performers . These human powered art vehicles include, unicycles, bicycles, tricycles, and multi cycles. Kinetic Art Santa Cruz is art on the move!
We’d like to remind each attendee that we will be collecting prom dresses for the Prom Dress Drive sponsored by Classic Cleaners. All of the gently used prom dresses collected will be donated to less fortunate local high school students in order to enable them to attend their prom this year.
