Santa Cruz Derby Girls - September 1, 2009
The Santa Cruz Derby Girls welcome Tucson Roller Derby on Saturday, September 12th for a night of high-stakes on-skates action at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium. Once again the half-time entertainment on September 12th will be as engaging as the skating; for the 2nd year in a row Cheer SF is both the featured charity and half time performance!
Since 1980, CHEER San Francisco has been thrilling crowds locally, nationally and internationally with its unique brand of high-energy cheerleading routines. This all-volunteer group is dedicated to providing polished professional entertainment and also to the
philanthropic mission of the squad.
A portion of proceeds from this bout will be donated to Cheer SF. For more information on the community work they perform, please visit http://www.cheersf.org/
Invisibility or flight?
You may have noticed that all of the Derby Girls’ home bouts have costume themes for nonskating derby girls and fans, and September is one of our favorites. Dress as a Superhero! Join in the fun!
Can’t get enough roller derby? Neither could we!
The Santa Cruz Derby Girls have added another bout to the 2009 season. Saturday, October 24th will be a double-header against Sacramento’s venerable Sac City Rollers. Save the date.
This Friday, all the fun without the bruises!
