Skating History:
My first pair of skates were plastic & velcro Fisher Price strap-ons.  I remember falling on my ass so often that I decided to stuff a pillow down my shorts. That didn't work very well so I gave up skating the next day. I again tried to learn at 27, skipping the pillow this time, and spent the first full month unable to sit down.

Why derby?
I needed to bring some balance to my life: librarian by day, derby girl by night. It's perfect.

Likes:
Lattes, reading, sleeping, answering ridiculous reference questions, walking my dog on the beach, and herding my cats.

Dislikes:
Meat, incompetence, snow, and falling on my ass.

Fascinating information:
I grew up in Denver and did a stint in the midwest before moving to California in 2006. I spent 11 years as a Catholic schoolgirl, and my most unusual job has been as a nude model. These days I'm just a crazy cat librarian derby girl.
